How do I open a link in a new browser window so I may go back easily to the page I started from?
If you right-click (PC) on the link, a menu will appear allowing you to choose ‘open link in new window’. A new browser window will open on top of your already opened page. You may then follow links in that new window until you are finished. If you wish to return to the place of the original link close the new browser window. Your previous window will be open and waiting for you.
How do I copy text or pictures from a web page to my computer?
For pictures, right click (PC) and select ‘save picture as’ if you wish to save the file for later use, or ‘copy’ if you wish to paste a picture into an existing open document. (then select paste, or Ctrl+V when in that document, eg Word)
For text, simply drag to highlight the text, then select copy from the menu (or Ctrl+C), then swap to the document you want the text in (eg Word) then select paste from the edit menu (or Ctrl+V).
You may also copy the whole page as it is by selecting ‘save as’ from the ‘file’ menu. This will save the whole page with pictures for viewing later. This will save the file and a folder with the graphics.
